One of the better things I did today was to read the Alchemist... What a fantastic book it has been. Really shakes you from the inside out. People might interpret it in their own ways. What I learnt from this book is that Life is truly in the Journey and not in the Destination as most people want to believe. It is more to enjoy each and every moment of the present, to follow your heart and pursue your interests, all the while sticking to your morals. We may not 'dream' about some distant hidden treasure like Santiago did; we may in fact never realise what our treasure is. In the end, it is HOW we achieve WHAT we achieve is ALL THAT MATTERS.
I am thankful to having read this book, it has helped me clear many cobwebs from my mind!

Yes, this was a great book, wasn't it? It stayed with me for much longer than most books - as a matter of fact, I was just thinking the other day that I should read it again. And so should Carol!
